Passi di Orma 2022 - 1

Passi di Orma 2022

It perfectly reflects the terroir from which it comes, where the minerality and elegance of the soils complement the power and grace of the international grape varieties that find their best expression here. The vines face southwest, on soil composed mainly of clay and gravel, with a small proportion of sand. More than 7,000 plants per hectare in spurred cordon system and a maniacal attention to detail allow for a limited production, a perfect synthesis of the incredible landscape from which it springs and the appellation it represents. Its name represents the path taken by the winery, which, on the strength of the experience it has acquired, decides to enhance the grapes from the younger vineyards in this Bolgheri Doc, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that with readiness and ease remain faithful to the Bolgheri terroir.
Vintage Notes

Bolgheri and the Tuscan Coast experienced a mild winter as usual, with rainfall and low temperatures, important factors for viticulture as they prepare the vineyards for the spring start. Sprouting occurred in April, urged on by warm temperatures. Plant development was rapid and well balanced. Once the grape clusters were formed, their development began, protected by the leaves that shaded them, creating an optimal microclimate for ripening, which was sharp and successful in both Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc a couple of weeks later. This vintage of finesse and elegance enhances a territory and its main characteristics.
